Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur wrap up Jersey’s Uttarakhand shoot amid a pandemic
Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur have wrapped up the Uttarakhand shoot of their upcoming movie, Jersey. The shoot was scheduled in the hilly regions of Uttarakhand for over 2 nights. The actors have thanked the Uttarakhand Government via Twitter for letting them shoot in a safe and secure environment amid the pandemic. Some parts of the movie have already been shot in Chandigarh before heading the state of Uttarakhand.
The movie is supposedly a remake of a 2019 Telugu film directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Jersey, the Hindi version, too is being directed by the original Telugu version director, Gowtam Tinnanuri.
Shahid Kapoor extended his gratitude towards the Uttarakhand Government appreciating their efficient policies that helped the Jersey team to carry out their shooting in a safe, secure environment. He tweeted about his experience while shooting and the safety precautions that were put into practice. He also said that the efforts of the concerned authorities were commendable that enabled the team to shoot in extremely beautiful locations of Uttarakhand.
Mrunal Thakur too expressed her thankfulness to the Uttarakhand Government via Twitter. She mentioned that without such incredible effort and co-ordination of the Government Authorities, the shoot would not have been possible. She appreciated the work of the local authorities that made the shoot possible of the movie in such scenic locations.
Jersey is a movie that depicts the story of a skillful but overshadowed cricketer, Arjun. In order to fulfill his son’s wish, the cricketer makes a bold decision to make a comeback into cricket after a significant lapse.
